Abstract
A short survey is given on the present state of the numerical simulation of mixer-settlers and pulsed columns in the Purex process. A recent model for the mass transfer kinetics of uranium, plutonium and nitric acid has been extended to 30 vol % TBP in dodecane and is described in more detail.
