Zusammenfassung

Die Ära der Benzodiazepine begann vor 20 Jahren mit der Einführung von Chlordiazepoxid (Librium) 1960 und Diazepam (Valium) 1963. Heute sind in Deutschland 18 Substanzen dieser Stoffgruppe auf dem Markt. Mit einer Ausnahme - Clobazepam (Frisium) -ist das Grundgerüst ein 1,4-Benzodiazepin mit unterschiedlichen Substituenten (Abb. 1). Die meisten Benzodiazepine tragen in Stellung 7 und 2’ (am Phenylring) ein Halogenatom, einige in Stellung 7 eine NO2 -Gruppe. Zusätzlich sind in Stellung 1 häufiger Methylgruppen oder höher substituierte Kohlenwasserstoffe gebunden. Die Strukturformeln der anderen Benzodiazepine sind in Abb. 2 zusammengefaßt.
