Modelle und Strukturen

Part of the book series: Informatik-Fachberichte ((INFORMATIK,volume 49))

Abstract

Syntactic approach to image analysis is introduced. Problems of primitive selection, image grammars and structure analysis are briefly reviewed. The use of high dimensional languages for image description is described. Analysis of noisy and distorted image patterns using stochastic languages and error-correcting parsing is discussed. Shape and texture analysis using syntactic methods are presented. Relationship between syntactic image analysis and image database management is suggested.

In a most general formulation, the contextual condition of the production is added [19,58].
