Pharmacokinetics of Isosorbide Dinitrate in Human Subjects

  • Conference paper
Nitrates III

Abstract

The development of sensitive electron-capture gas chromatography for the measurement of concentrations of isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) in plasma [4, 5, 7, 10] has facilitated study of the pharmacokinetics of this drug; the plasma levels obtainable after oral and sublingual doses of standard and sustained-release formulations and after topical applications of ointments are now well documented [1, 2, 8, 12].
