Abstract
In treating mechanically induced disorders and deformities of the hip joint we must have a clear conception of:
-
1.
The normal (physiological) stress on the hip joint and how it is influenced by a change in the neck-shaft angle.
-
2.
The manner in which living supporting tissue reacts to the magnitude and quality of mechanical stress.
