Abstract
The recent introduction in therapeutical practice of retinoids derived from vitamin A has promoted a whole series of studies which have shown how retinoic acid and its analogs, besides regulating both the growth and differentiation of the epithelial cells (8), also have an anti-tumoral effect and are able to influence the immunological phenomena by stimulating the humoral as well as the cellular immunological responses.
