Zusammenfassung

Die Bestimmung von “Tumormarkern” gewinnt bei der Diagnostik und der postoperativen Verlaufskontrolle von Krebserkrankungen zunehmend an Bedeutung. Unter diese “Tumormarker” ist auch das Enzym Diaminoxydase (DAO) einzureihen. Dies gilt allerdings nur für den speziellen Fall des medullären Schilddrüsencarcinoms (1).
