Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen der umfangreichen und auch thematisch stark verzweigten Literatur über Warte- und Bedienungssysteme ist die Anzahl der Arbeiten zur Ökonomie eben dieser Systeme immer noch relativ klein geblieben. In der Bibliographie Crabill et al. (1977) sind insgesamt 159 Beiträge zur Optimierung von Wartesystemen angeführt. Im Vergleich dazu dürfte eine komplette Bibliographie der Warteschlangentheorie bis zum Juli 1976 (dem Abschlußdatum obiger Bibliographie) etwa zweitausend Nummern umfassen. In den letzten Jahren befassen sich zirka zwanzig Prozent der Veröffentlichungen über Warte- und Bedienungssysteme explizit mit Planungs- und Optimierungsproblemen.
