Abstract
The prognosis of algodystrophy is unpredictable. The apparent severity of the affection, the importance of the inflammatory signs, the intensity of pain, and the importance of functional disability are not constantly correlated with the response to treatment, the total duration of the episode, and the eventual existence of sequels.
