Abstract

In this chapter the results of the analysis of data on habitat selection are presented. In the stepwise multiple regression as well as in pairwise comparisons, a dependent variable has been used that is based on how often the hectare fields, visible from the main observation points Muchila Afaf, Kedadit and Saha, have been frequented by the Walia ibex, the Klipspringer and the Gelada baboon. A detailed discussion, as well as a comparison of the habitats selected most often by various species — on an extensive level the Simen fox, the Golden jackal, the Bushbuck and the Colobus monkey are also included — is given in the chapters following.
