Zusammenfassung
Tocainid (2-amino-2′,6′-propionoxilidid HCl) ist ein neues lidocainähnliches Antiarrhythmikum. Im Gegensatz zum Lidocain besitzt es jedoch aufgrund seiner primären Aminstruktur eine niedrige hepatische Clearance, hohe systemische Bioverfügbarkeit sowie eine lange Halbwertszeit. Diese pharmakokinetischen Charakteristika bestimmen seine orale Wirksamkeit [25].
