Abstract
In connection with the analysis of the “extrapyramidal” responses to electrical stimulation of the brain stem, the need was felt to study the physical aspects of biomotor functions, because it was thought that the central organization can only be properly understood if the system of forces underlying any movement is correctly grasped.
