Zusammenfassung

Sammelstatistiken haben gezeigt, daß Patienten mit einer Colitis ulcerosa in besonderem Maße Karzinom-gefährdet sind (GOLDGRABER et al. 1958 a, b; SLANEY u. BROOKE 1959; REIFFERSCHEID 1960; GOLDGRABER u. KIRSNER 1964). Die Colitis ulcerosa gilt anerkanntermaßen als KREBSRISIKOERKRANKUNG. Bereits 1925 diskutierten CROHN und ROSENBURG Zusammenhänge zwischen langjährigen totalen Kolitiden und der Entstehung kolo-rektaler Karzinome. 1928 beschrieb BARGEN die Entwicklung eines Kolonkarzinoms im Ablauf einer Colitis ulcerosa. Später fanden BARGEN et al. (1954) bei 1564 Kolitis-Patienten eine 30fach höhere Kolonkarzinom-Frequenz als in einer vergleichbaren Patienten-Gruppe ohne vorbestehende Colitis ulcerosa.
