Calcium in der Prophylaxe des Streßulcus der Ratte

Zusammenfassung

Die Ulcusbildung im Fesselungs-Stress der Ratte geht mit Hypocalcämie einher (1). Hyperglucagonämie bzw. -calcitoninämie können ursächlich verantwortlich sein. Exogenes porcines Calcitonin (CT) verbessert den Ulcusindex (U.I.) bei intakten und thyreoparathyreoidektomierten Tieren (TPX) entscheidend (2). Gesteigerte CT-Freisetzung im Stress ist daher unwahrscheinlich, während eine Verminderung der CT-Konzentration im peripheren Blut als Teilursache der Ulcus-Prädisposition in Betracht kommt.
