Abstract

It has become increasingly clear in recent years that important changes in phenotypic expression of various organisms are not only caused by the “classical” types of mutations, that is mutations induced by physical and chemical agents leading to point mutations, deletions, additions, and substitutions, but by a new type of mutations termed “insertion mutagenesis”.
