Zusammenfassung
Es darf heute als gesichert gelten, daß die Unterbrechung der Nahrungszufuhr bei Schwerstkranken Patienten keine Maßnahme darstellt, die positiven Einfluß auf den angestrebten Heilprozeß nimmt. Im Gegenteil kommt in einer derartigen Situation der ausreichenden und vor allem adäquaten Nahrungszufuhr eine wesentliche Bedeutung zu. Insbesondere muß der Erhaltung oder Verbesserung des Proteinbestandes vorrangig Beachtung geschenkt werden.
