Abstract

Intrasellar craniopharyngiomas are benign tumors arising from epithelial remnants of Rathke’s pouch. They are, therefore, still referred to as Rathke’s pouch tumors, tumors of the craniopharyngeal pouch, or Erdheim’s tumor (1903).
