Zusammenfassung

Kaum ein Krankheitsbild ist so wenig präzise definiert wie die axiale Hiatushernie oder der Gleitbruch, der seinen Namen nicht auf das radiologische Phänomen des Gleitens, sondern auf die intrathorakale Verlagerung eines partiell retroperitoneal gelegenen Organs mit unvollständigem Bruchsack zurückführt. Diese anatomisch-chirurgischen Gegebenheiten sind präoperativ jedoch nicht zu erfassen, so daß man insbesondere bei größeren axialen Hernien an das Vorliegen einer Mischhernie denken sollte.
