Zusammenfassung
Eine Bedeutung des Nervus vagus in der Ulcuspathogenese ist nur gesichert bezüglich der Vagusaktivierung als wichtigem Faktor für die Stimulierung der Säuresekretion. Die Säuresekretion des Magens ist bei Patienten mit Ulcus duodeni meist gesteigert und wird als eine der wesentlichen Ursachen für das Entstehen des Ulcus duodeni angesehen. Beim Ulcus ventriculi ist wahrscheinlich auch der erhöhte duodenogastrale Reflux von biliopankreatischem Sekret mit einer schädigenden Wirkung auf die Magenschleimhaut ein auslösender Faktor in der Ulcuspathogenese. Es ist unbekannt, ob der Nervus vagus eine Bedeutung für die alkalische Sekretion des Magens oder die Resistenz der Schleimhaut im Magen-Darm-Trakt hat.
