Morphometric Aspects of Endomyocardial Biopsies in Cardiomyopathy: A Light Microscopic Study

  • Conference paper
Myocardial Biopsy

Abstract

Semiquantitative and quantitative assessments of the morphology of endomyocardial biopsies at light microscopic level have been undertaken to evaluate whether or not these methods are of use in analysing the biopsies — e.g., is it possible by using these methods to differentiate between a cardiomyopathy and a specific heart muscle disease of seemingly identical morphology?
