Abstract
Before going into my presentation on Tama CCIS, I would like to explain very briefly the characteristics of the Research Institute of Telecommunication and Economics (R.I.T.E.) and the relationship beween RITE and Tama CCIS Experiments. The Institute was established 12 years ago to investigate and analyze problems concerning telecommunication from the viewpoint of social sciences. That is the viewpoint of “human aspect” and is therefore very similar to the theme of this congress. We have been undertaking a number of research projects on new telecommunication media including Tama CCIS. I myself have been nominated chairman of the report-writing subcommittee for the comprehensive evaluation of CCIS experiments in 1977. That is the major reason why I have been invited to be here.
