Zusammenfassung

Der erste pathologisch-anatomische Bericht über die ätiologisch noch immer ungeklärte hypertroph obstruktive Kardiomyopathie (HOCM) stammt von Schmincke [1]. In der Folgezeit geriet das Krankheitsbild in Vergessenheit, bis sich ab 1952, beginnend mit einer Publikation von Davies [2], weitere Berichte häuften.
