Zusammenfassung
Der Erregungsprozeß der Myocardfaser läuft bekanntlich an der äußeren Grenzmembran, der sog. Sarkolemm-Membran ab, die den extrazellulären Raum vom Faserinnern trennt. Die Kontraktion ist dagegen ein intrazellulärer Vorgang. Die zeitliche Koppelung der bioelektrischen und mechanischen Phänomene setzt daher die Existenz eines Systems der Informationsvermittlung von der Zelloberflôche ins Innere der kontraktilen Fasern voraus. Die Natur hat dieses schwierige Problem bekanntlich dadurch gelöst, daß sie rich der Ca ++ =Ionen als Mittlersubstanz zwischen Membran-Erregung und intrazellulärer Myofibrillen-Verkürzung bedient.
