Abstract

Used for the study of vertebromedullary pathology, lumbar phlebography consists in the opacification of the intra- and extravertebral veins in order to appreciate changes determined by lesions situated in their neighborhood. It is an “indirect” investigation technique since the epidural veins themselves have no proven pathology.
