Abstract

This volume, which consists of selected papers presented at the Second International Congress of the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology held in Washington, D.C., in September 1978, is evidence that nuclear medicine is at a turning point, returning to the physiologic orientation of its early days — but with a difference. Just as diagnostic roentgenology rests on a foundation of anatomy, nuclear medicine is built upon the science of physiology.
