Abstract

Three experimental studies were undertaken in our laboratory with the aim of reproducing and checking previous experimental findings which had indicated that blood-gas CO2 equilibration in lungs led to a condition in which \({{\text{P}}_{C{O_2}}}\) in alveolar gas was higher than in blood.
