Zusammenfassung

Innerhalb von PIX*) wurde in den letzten Jahren eine Reihe von Protokollen für die unterschiedlichen Ebenen der Kommunikation erarbeitet.

Das vorliegende Papier beschäftigt sich mit dem Protokoll, das allgemein der Ebene 4 und Ebene 5 (IS0-Architekturmodell) zugeordnet wird.

Insbesondere wird die Dienstleistung (Service) beschrieben, die von dieser Ebene den darüber liegenden Schichten angeboten wird.
