Zusammenfassung
Die Schmerzbehandlung gehört zu den wichtigsten ärztlichen Aufgaben. Wenn die Ursache des Schmerzes nicht gefunden und ausgeschaltet werden kann, sind palliative Maßnahmen indiziert. Der Schmerz hat dann seine Warnfunktion verloren und ist ausschließlich zu einer quälenden Last geworden.
