Zusammenfassung

Bei der Osteopoikilie handelt es sich um eine in der Regel nur auf röntgenologischem Wege erkennbare seltene erbliche Knochenveränderung mit charakteristischen 2–5 mm großen, scharf begrenzten Verdichtungen der Spongiosa mit bevorzugtem Befall der Epi- und Metaphysen des Gliedmaßenskelets. Schädel und Wirbelsäule bleiben meist frei. Die einzelnen Herde ordnen sich häufig entlang den Kraftlinien eines Knochens an.
