Zusammenfassung

Die Betreuung von Schädel-Hirntraumen und schweren Hirnschädigungen vaskulärer, hypoxischer oder anderer Genese auf operativ-traumatologischen Intensivstationen zwingt den zuständigen Intensivmediziner, sich im Sinne einer Objektivierung von Befunden auch auf diesem Gebiete — und nicht nur im pulmonologischen und kardiozirkulatorischen Bereich — mit der Bestimmung meßbarer Parameter zu beschäftigen (3, 5, 10, 16).
