TOCS — Ein Programmsystem Zur Simulation Von Rechensystemen

Zusammenfassung

Moderne Rechnerarchitekturen werden immer komplexer, so daß zur Beurteilung von unterschiedlichen Architekturen die Verwendung von Modellen unumgänglich ist. TOCS (transaction oriented computer system simulation) ist ein Programmsystem, mit dem sehr einfach zentrale Betriebssystemalgorithmen (Scheduler) und Hardwarearchitekturen simuliert werden können. In dieser Arbeit wird die Anwendung von TOCS bei der Beurteilung von drei Task Scheduling Strategien des Siemens Betriebssystems BS2000 vorgestellt. Weiter werden kurz Probleme aufgezeigt, die bei der Simulation von Mehrprozessorkonfigurationen auftraten.
