Zusammenfassung

Ziel jeder Nierenbiopsie ist es, ohne wesentliche Gefährdung und Beeinträchtigung des Patienten eine ausreichende Menge an brauchbarem Nierengewebe für die vorgesehenen histologischen Untersuchungen zu gewinnen. Als Methoden kommen die offene und die perkutane Nierenbiopsie in Frage. Die Entscheidung für eines dieser Verfahren wird vor allem von drei Kriterien beeinflußt:

  1. •

    von der Zuverlässigkeit, mit der es gelingt, eine ausreichende Menge an Nierengewebe zu gewinnen;

  2. •

    von der mit dem Eingriff verbundenen Beeinträchtigung für den Patienten;

  3. •

    von der jeweiligen Komplikationsrate.
