Zusammenfassung

Die postoperative Periduralanalgesie bietet nach einigen Untersuchungen gegenüber der Schmerzbekämpfung mit Opiaten entscheidende Vorteile. So ist nach Spence u. Smith [6] die Häufigkeit postoperativer entzündlicher Lungenkomplikationen deutlich herabgesetzt. Die alveolär-arterielle Sauerstoffdruckdifferenz ist in ihren Untersuchungen signifikant niedriger bei postoperativer Periduralanalgesie als bei der Gabe von Morphin.
