Summary

Subcutaneous sweat gland excision by curettage represents a recent advance in the surgical treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis. Our experience has shown that excellent cosmetic results can be achieved in the majority of cases. By comparison with radical sweat gland excision, however, there is an occasional risk of recurrence.
