Zusammenfassung

Die Hormone der Hypophyse gehören mehreren Proteinfamilien an. Mitglieder einer Familie ähneln einander, so daß man auf einen gemeinsamen phylogenetischen Ursprung schließen kann. In Abb. 57.1 ist der Verwandtschaftsgrad der beiden Hormone der Neurohypophyse (Vasopressin und Oxytocin) erkennbar. Beide sind, im Gegensatz zu den Produkten der Adenohypophyse (s. Tabelle 1), kurze Peptide.
