Zusammenfassung

Wasser ist in Kohlenwasserstoffen außerordentlich gut löslich: 10-3 M. Relativ gut löslich ist außerdem das J2-Molekül. Die Ursache ist wahrscheinlich darin zu suchen, daß das freie Elektron wegen der Größe des J-Atoms so diffus verteilt ist, daß es nur einer geringen Energie bedarf, um ein Jodmolekül aus einer wässrigen Phase in eine Lipidphase zu überführen. Möglicherweise werden dabei auch J -3 und J -5 gebildet, wo sich die diffuse Ladungsverteilung noch deutlicher bemerkbar machen würde.
