Zusammenfassung

Nobelpreisträger Konrad Lorenz lebt seit seinem Abschied von der Universität in seinem Haus in Altenberg bei Wien, wo er seine Forschungen weiterführt. Er studierte an der Wiener Universität, wo er 1933 auch promovierte. Stationen seiner bedeutenden akademischen Laufbahn waren die Wiener Universität, die Königsberger Universität und das Institut für Verhaltensphysiologie der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. Professor Lorenz ist einer der Pioniere im Bereich der Ethologie, und zu seinen Leistungen zählen die Entdeckung der Prägung, seine höchste provokative Arbeit über die Aggression und die Entwicklung des Konzepts der evolutionären Epistemologie.
