Droughts, Dry Winds, Dust Storms, and Hail

  • Y. I. Chirkov

Abstract

Drought is a complex phenomenon which results from the prolonged absence of precipitation in conjunction with high evaporativity, which causes dehydration of the root zone of the soil and upsets the water supply of plants. As a result, the plant productivity is sharply reduced.
