Abstract

This review covers two main topics. The first. is the analysis of gene structure and base sequencing, the transfer of fungal genes to bacteria with the aid of carrier plasmids, and the expression of fungal genes in bacteria. This has opened an entirely new approach to moleculargenetics of fungi. The other topic is the genetic dissection of fungal carbon metabolism and its regularity mechanisms.
