Abstract

CAM is usually regarded as a typical feature of succulents because of its occurrence in many succulent species. However, two questions must be asked:
  1. 1.

    Is the occurrence of CAM restricted to succulents?

     
  2. 2.

    Do all succulents exhibit CAM?
