Abstract

The policy of premature delivery of the baby and the frequent use of Caesarean section in diabetic pregnancy may cause more problems than it solves. It is suggested that with improved diabetic control and improved methods for assessing the condition of the fetus it is logical that consideration should be given to the prolongation of pregnancy to nearer full term.
