Abstract
The previous chapter sketched some necessary background, but it was noncommittal on an essential question: does protein copolymerization go with the host-pathogen compatibility, which means host susceptibility, or does it go with host-pathogen incompatibility, which means host resistance? This chapter answers the question unequivocally: copolymerization and susceptibility go together.
