Zusammenfassung

Die Fortschritte, die auf dem Gebiet der chirurgischen Behandlung der angeborenen Herzfehler gemacht worden sind, sind hauptsächlich der Möglichkeit zu verdanken, daß mit Hilfe des Herzkatheterismus vor der Operation eine exakte Diagnose der beim Patienten vorhandenen Mißbildung gestellt werden kann. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist dabei die Wahl der Narkosemethode, die für diese diagnostischen Untersuchungen am geeignetsten ist (1).
