Part of the Ecological Studies book series (ECOLSTUD, volume 28)

Investigations of the secondary productivity and the function of mammals in wetlands of Czechoslovakia were carried out to discover (1) what is the species diversity of mammals in wetland communities; (2) what is the ecological dominance of species in successive trophic levels of the grazing predatory food chain; and (3) what is the amount of secondary production, energy flow and role of mammalian populations in ecosystems of this type?
