Abstract

Plankton elements take up an important position in many types of littoral macrophyte communities in most fishponds (Fig. 1). The dynamics of their development appear to be influenced not only by changes in the physical, chemical and biotic factors in the littoral community, but also by those in the pelagial and by the intensity of water exchange between the two zones (Straškraba, 1963). The course of changes in the composition of phytoplankton (Fig. 2 and Fig. 2, Sect. 4.1) may be altered by fishpond management.
