Zusammenfassung
In diesem Beitrag sollen Störungen des Wasser-Elektrolyt- und Säuren-Basen-Haushaltes besprochen werden, die in Störungen des Herz-Kreislauf-Systems ihre Ursache haben und darüber hinaus klinische Bedeutung besitzen, insofern sie die Gesamtsituation des Patienten entscheidend beeinflussen. Ausgespart bleiben dabei die Zusämmenhange zwischen Wasser-Elektrolyt- und Säuren-Basen-Haushalt und Kreislauffunktion, bei denen Störungen des Herz-Kreislauf-Systems Folge primärer Störungen des Wasser-Elektrolyt-Haushaltes sind (Beispiel: Störungen der Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion bei Kaliummangel) und ebenso Zustände, bei denen Veränderungen des Wasser-Elektrolyt-Gleichgewichtes als Symptome mit möglicherweise pathogenetischer oder differentialdiagnostischer Bedeutung bei Erkrankungen des Herz-Kreislauf-Systems auftreten, jedoch keinen entscheidenden Einfluß auf den aktuellen klinischen Ablauf des akuten Krankheitszustandes haben (Beispiel: Storungen des Natrium-Kalium-Gehaltes bei Hypertonien).
