Abstract
An experimental video in formation system for in formation re-trieval (IR) and CAI for internal NTT utilization was cut over on 10 January 1977. It is projected as a first step toward developing versatile communication media with individualized audio and video communication.
This trial system is composed of an information file control center, about 100 terminals and individualized transmission lines. Several kinds of service are contained in this trial system, so as to allow evaluating system utility and functions.
The features and outline of the experimental system are described in this paper.
