Analysis of Actively Metabolizing Bacterial Populations with the Autoradiographic Method

  • Chapter
Microbial Ecology of a Brackish Water Environment

Part of the book series: Ecological Studies ((ECOLSTUD,volume 25))

Abstract

Brackish water areas are often characterized by fluctuations in the salt content as well as chemical and biological species composition. This variability is caused by varying oceanic and fresh water influence in near coast regions (see Chaps. 2 and 3).
