Abstract
It has been a great privilege for me to have been associated with Dr. Götze for the last ten years on the board of Springer-Verlag New York. I remember well when about twelve years ago concrete steps were taken, based on his tireless motivation, to establish the New York firm. As the concept of the firm was discussed with me at the time, I was very much intrigued with the great potential without much of a capital contribution.
