Zusammenfassung

Im Kindesalter bricht das Femur meistens in der Diaphyse, und Frakturen in der Meta- oder Epiphyse sind selten. Nur eine außerordentliche Gewalt führt zu einer Femurfraktur in Knienähe. Als Ursachen kommen vor allem Verkehrsunfälle in Frage, wobei oft im Rahmen eines Polytraumas schwere lokale Weichteil-verletzungen bestehen können.
